Love this Hoover! We have 3 cats and a dog, and I'm amazed at how well it picks up the hair!!
Our carpet is 16 years old and this vacuum actually made our carpet look good!

Floats across the rug. So much quieter than our old (5 yrs) vaccum you think it's not picking up. But then you see how much "stuff" has accumulated in the dirt cupand you know it's doing a great job. Very happy with item. Extra long cord with retractable peddel is a plus.

This vacuum is outstanding, The best pick up in a vacuum cleaner for this price range. You will be suprised at what it picks up from your carpet that you THOUGHT you just cleaned. Very easy to use and took only one screw for the handle to put together. WOW!!

I was a skeptic of what Hoover could offer over a well-known and premium brand like Dyson. But this vacuum has suction like you wouldn't believe, it's ease of use in going from hose to the regular floor vac is seamless - nothing to hook up; it's ready to go, which my Dyson didn't provide.
I couldn't find any info in reviews of dismantling the bottom to clean the revolving brush (which gets wound in pet hair frequently); but let me tell you it is easier than the Dyson too; it has two releases that you can do by hand (without a screwdriver or coin) to get to the brush. The only compliant about this vac is the self winding cord is doesn't wind as well as you would think, but if your tender in winding it by doing it slowly and holding on to the cord while it winds or I could see how it could get damaged like other reviews have stated.

I used my Oreck first and then the Hoover to test the power. I could not believe what came out of my carpets. This is a wonderful vacuum so far. I only received it last week but I am amazed. It is a beautiful machine also. I love the bagless and auto return cord, idea. I didn't think I'd ever find a vacuum that would be better than the one I had but I did. My Hoover is heavier but the power and bagless convenience is wonderful. I had a Hoover (11 years) before the Oreck, gave it my daughter and she still has it. Hoover is the best. Thank you HOOVER and HSN for such a nice vacuum.
