I have the one they offered a couple years ago, I am still using it. I placed that one in my office and use the new on in the kitchen. It is more streamlined and I love it. I wish they woulds come out with a smaller one I would also use it in my bathroom.

This trash can cost more and more, first to buy adaptor or the battery only last for a week...than the lid got broke on the right side and now both lid totally useless, I check online the cost for the new lid it's about $40 plus $17 s/h, it's absolutelty ripeoff and not worth it. This is not the first time my experience. Can't believe HSN would sell something that quality way below customer expectations, you need to have high quality purchasing department for products.

The lid has two very critical flaws. First the imbalance created by the excessive battery weight (would work just as efficiently with AAA batteries by slight motor tweek). Secondly the plastic top cannot sustain the type of hinges and tork applied by the lift arm. I am replacing the top for the THIRD time. Another
cheaply engineered marvel from China. More costly than it is worth just in lids.

My only complaint about this trash can, which I do like, is those Dag-Blasted 'Lid Hinges'. My lid is broken after a few months. This is the main appeal of the "iTouchless" trash can. If the lid is broken, I now have to TOUCH the trash can to place trash in it. I don't want a refun; I'd prefer to just have a replacement lid. PLEASE!
